We have compiled some frequently asked questions below. If you can’t find the information you are looking for please eithr call or email. Please ensure you have read our terms & conditions before hiring the Motorhome.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BO BEFORE I BOOK?
Provide DVLA Code on booking form. To provide us with this please go to www.viewdrivingrecord.service.gov.uk and follow the instructions. Once you receive the code please keep a note of it for your booking.

Before we can confirm your booking we will require you to provide a proof of address ID from the following list:-

  • Bank Statement (within last 3 months)
  • Credit Card Statement (within last 3 months)
  • Utility Bill – Gas, Electric, water or Telephone (not mobile and within last 3 months)
  • Council Tax Bill (this needs to be the current years bill)

Please be advised that we cannot take anything other than what is on the list above, if you are unable to provide this type of ID with a matching address to your driving licence, please do not book as we will not be able to insure you as a driver.

HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?
First check our availability calendar to see whether the motorhome you would like to hire is available.

If it is available to make a booking enquiry complete the booking form and pay a £50 deposit via PayPal. We will confirm your booking via email and send a full estimate of your hire cost including motorhome hire, extras and airport pickups/dropoffs. If you agree to the total cost we will send you a Paypal invoice for 50% of the total cost less your £50 paypal deposit with the remainder being invoiced 6 weeks prior to the first day of hire. If the booking is within 6 weeks we will invoice the full amoutn less the £50 paypal deposit.

HOW DO I PAY?
You can pay in full via Paypal. If you don’t have a Paypal account you can use your debit/credit card. If you prefer you can also pay via BACS. If this is your preferred method please email us and we will send you our bank details.

 

HOW DOES THE INSURANCE WORK?
The main nominated driver for each vehicle will be asked to sign an individual hire agreement when the motorhome is collected. Standard insurance is provided for drivers between the ages of 24 and 75 with a clean driving history. Drivers aged 23 and below and 75+ can sometimes be insured for an extra premium.

When booking a Motorhome it is important that you provide accurate driver details and you must keep us informed and updated of any changes to driver circumstances. The insurance company will use the information provided to assess the risk against each driver. All named drivers are required to produce valid driving licences when collecting vehicles.

WHAT AGE DO I NEED TO BE TO HIRE A MOTORHOME?
The minimum age for a hire is 24 years old and the maximum age is 75. Customers younger than 24 or older than 75 can be considered by our insurers and possibly able to hire subject to an increased excess, please get in touch to discuss.

WHAT ARE THE PICKUPS/DROP OFFS?
The motorhomes can be picked up and dropped off at our Buckie and Inverness base. Please note that only our Buckie base has secure parking for owners vehicles. If you require transportation from an airport we can arrange this for you at an additional cost.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Insurance for one named driver
Gas for cooking/heating
Fully equipped kitchen
Fully stocked bathroom

WHAT ARE THE EXTRAS?
Let us know if you would like us to supply linen, towels, sleeping bags, extra chairs, fishing rods etc. Please get in touch with us if you have any other requests.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Before departing we will provide a full demonstration of the motorhome and how everything works.

DO I NEED TO HIRE IT FOR A FULL WEEK?
If you are looking for a short hire please email or telephone us first. It is unlikely there will be availability during high season but late cancellations may result in short hire becoming available.

WHAT TIME CAN I PICK UP THE MOTORHOME?
Your motorhome will be available to pick up from 3pm. Sometimes we can allow for an earlier collection if need be so please contact us to discuss.

WHAT TIME DOES THE MOTORHOME NEED TO BE RETURNED?
The Motorhome needs to be returned no later than 12pm to the pre-agreed drop-off point
